This seminar brings together key stakeholders from government, industry, academia, and civil society to explore innovative solutions, share best practices, and foster collaboration for a safer and more sustainable food system.
This seminar will also bring together the stakeholders to commemorate the International Day for Food Loss and Waste Day, celebrate the 6 years since the launch of the South African Food Loss and Waste Initiative, and the launch of the recently registered CGCSA PRO.

About the CGCSA Crime Risk Seminar
The Seminar aims to foster collaboration and innovation by bringing together and engaging with all relevant role-players and Stakeholders from retail, banking, petroleum, pharmaceutical, private security, government, and other key public and private sectors.
The event will focus on identifying key retail crime threats, evaluating current strategies and developing collaborative mitigation solutions to produce tangible outcomes that will benefit all stakeholders and the economy of the country.
The seminar will also showcase the value of the GS1 Standards in driving supply chain efficiency, traceability, and consumer trust, while also demonstrating the benefits of using the standards in mitigating the threat of illicit trade and counterfeiting of goods and enhancing sustainability.
