CEO's Introduction PDF Print E-mail

The CGCSA 2010 Conference

The Consumer Goods Council of SA (CGCSA) will be hosting its Annual Conference on the 19th and 20th October 2010 in Johannesburg. The outcome of this year’s conference will prove to be a turning point for the industry as we tackle issues that drive our business.

The theme of this year’s conference is "Building Success Together in Changing Times".

To some extent this theme is self explanatory. The past year came with difficult trading challenges for our industry and the economy in general. We experienced the harsh realities of an unanticipated financial crisis which left a lot of sectors wounded.

The crux of our theme is to encourage business, law-makers and stakeholder community to work together towards building a successful future as we move towards improved trading conditions. These improvements give us hope of a future that will aim at nothing but to serve and delight our consumers better.

It is our belief that this conference will assist in improving public knowledge of our challenges, cultivate the spirit of change and develop sustainable and meaningful solutions to our industry’s challenges.

We trust that you will clear your diaries and make an effort to support this Industry initiative.

Mncane Mthunzi
