- Consumer Goods Council of SA (CGCSA) is a Section 21 company which was formed October 2002
- It represents over 11 000 members in retail, wholesale and manufacturing of consumer goods
- CGCSA is a formidable and respected voice in SA representing companies such as Massmart; Metcash Africa; Pick n Pay; Shoprite Checkers; New Clicks, The SPAR Group; Woolworths and multinationals such as Nestlè; Parmalat; Coca Cola; Simba/PepsiCo; Kellogg’s and Unilever.
- With five business units – GS1 SA, Retail Council, Crime Prevention, Food Safety Initiative and Skills Development Institute - the organization aims to boost efficiencies of members’ businesses.
